When producing ice, the ice plate is temporarily closed, and water is sprayed from bottom to top into the ice chamber at -25ºC, resulting in pure and transparent ice cubes with almost 100% impurity removal.
Once the ice is formed, the ice plate's temperature is elevated using a high-temperature hot air flow for de-icing, allowing the ice to drop into the storage refrigerator under its weight.
